Age-27 v1.00
Program By: David Chase
Program Documentation
Document Dated: [21.01.92]
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Intro
=====
Have you ever wondered what the average age of your users is? Or do
you want to see what percentage of your users are in a certain age
group? Well, I was curious, so I wrote a small program that will
create a full-color Telegard .MSG compatible text file containing a
summary bar graph. This graph contains entries for ages ranging from
8 to 59, and shows the percentage of users who fall into each age
group. Age groups are incremented by three starting from 8 and ending
at 59. This is unimportant. Run the program and you'll see what I
mean.
Disclaimer
==========
This program was created for my own personal use. I do not make any
garantees as to its functionality or its security. It has worked fine
on my system, however it may not on yours. By using the program you
acknowledge that you are doing so at your own risk.
Registration
============
This program took me about 6 hours to code. It is not copyrighted,
and so need not be registered. If you find it of use, please tell me.
It would feel good to know my work didn't go unnoticed.
Contents
========
The distribution archive should contain the following files:
AGE27.DOC - User documentation. This file.
AGE27.EXE - The main executable. The program itself!
AGE27.CFG - The configuration file.
Configuration
=============
The program has a number of configuration options, all of which are
contained in the file AGE27.CFG The main executable must be able to
find this file at run-time, otherwise the program will halt with an
error message. For a summary of configuration options, read the
AGE27.CFG file, they are contained within. There are no command line
switches to memorize.
Usage
=====
Simply run the program and it will create a message file using the
name specified in the configuration file. It's that simple. This file
may then be displayed with the Telegard "-F" menu command, or in the
bulletin menu.
Source Code
===========
This had to be some of my worst code ever. It is not available
within the distribution archive. However, it is available to
experienced programmers who wish to make suggestions on how to improve
the program. DO NOT change the program yourself. I'm sure you take
pride in your own work. Please let me take pride in mine.
Thank-you.
